| When it comes to the source for our wines' raw material, Pomum Cellars does not compromise. Our fruit sources are some of the most respected and quality oriented vineyards in Washington State. We work directly with our growers year after year on select rows. Our non-conformist attitude and pursuit of the highest caliber wine, ensures that we strive for continuous improvement regardless of what the vintage may bring. Our fruit selection is focused on two primary areas: the western Yakima Valley AVA and the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our vineyard owners, managers and crew for sharing our goals and for their relentless hard work.

| Located in Outlook, this steep, rocky south-facing slope that overlooks the Yakima Valley is masterfully farmed by owners Hugh and Kathy Shiels. The vines have been nurtured using judicious deficit irrigation and a strict regime of late summer crop thinning. This results in consistent crops of small berries with a distinctive flavor profile unique to the location. We source Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. |

| Dr. Steve Elerding owns a few very unique vineyards both in the Yakima Valley AVA and Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The vineyards are planted in isolated remote locations which gives the team the ability to develop a highly individualized and focused growing program that produces some of the most sought after fruit in the State. We source Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo from the Horse Heaven Hills site and Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot from the Yakima Valley site. |

We source our core Merlot from this vineyard as well as Malbec and Tempranillo. |

| Owned and farmed by the Newhouse family of Sunnyside, these vineyards are located in what is called Snipes Mountain, a unique rocky ridge in the center of the upper Yakima Valley which may soon become its own AVA. Distinctive site, old vines and highly experienced growers make these vineyards one of our preferred sources for quality fruit. We source Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. |

| The Dineen Family has in the past years become one of the leading new vineyard growers in the State. Their outstanding location in upper Yakima Valley near the town of Zillah combined with their commitment to excellence in viticulture has quickly garnered them high praise among winemakers. We source Cabernet Franc and Syrah. |

| Our own family vineyard was planted in 2003 with Tempranillo and Merlot near the town of Zillah in the Yakima Valley AVA. Our goal with this project is to experiment both in vineyard and cellar with certain emerging and traditional techniques that may be considered among other things too risky for larger production wines. Cool site, organic viticulture, balanced crop levels, deficit (or nearly dry) irrigation and indigenous fermentation are some of the techniques used that characterize the finished wine. Beginning with the 2006 vintage minimal amounts of this vineyard designated wine will be available. |
